What is a semi-constructed jacket?
Semi-constructed jackets are half or fully lined with some fusing and sometimes have light padding. They contain no canvas. Semi-construction is used in jackets for casual wear; the fabric is usually a wool blend, cotton or linen. As a rule of thumb, unconstructed jackets have only two layers (the cloth itself and the lining); semi constructed jackets have three layers, the cloth, the lining and some fusing.
